FreeCharge an e-commerce website founded in Aug 2010 by Kunal Shah and Sandeep Tandon saw exit of its current Chief Executive Officer Govind Rajan in his service of nine months.
In 2016 Kunal Shah the former CEO was elevated to the post of chairman in the company thus Rajan was appointed the new CEO. The reasons and further plans of Rajan is not disclosed yet.

I am confident that Freecharge will achieve still greater heights under its incredibly talented team and I look forward to facilitating the transition over the next few weeks”.
Kunal Shah said ” Govind Rajan has brought incredible energy and focus in growing Freecharge. The pace of progress will continue with the strong team he has built. I am sure he will bring the same level of passion and resolve to whatever he choose next. I wish him the very best”.
On 8 April 2015 Freecharge was acquired by Snapdeal on a deal of 30% cash & 70% stock for ₹2,800 crores. Freecharge gives access of much younger generation to Snapdeal. Though Snapdeal is unable to raise funds for the company yet. Jason Kothari a former CEO of Housing.com is a Chief Strategy & an Investment Officer of Snapdeal. It is his responsibility to raise funds and manage all its portfolio companies including Freecharge.
Snapdeal saw exits of its top level management lately when there is a huge competition on the ground, its rivalries Flipkart and Amazon both e-commerce Giants. The list includes Sandeep Komaravelly who was a Sr.Vice President of Snapdeal and served for 1 year and 6 months, Abhishek Kumar who was the Head of Corporate Department served for 2 years and 8 months and Tony Navin who used to lead Partnerships and drive new growth verticals of the company worked for 1 year 7 months.
