Freshdesk founded in 2010 by Girish Mauthurbootham is a cloud-based customer support software has launched a marketplace of customer support app lately. Recently, Freshdesk also acquired Pipemonk.
Founded with the ambition of enabling of all sizes to provide great customer service and customers, brand touch base with each other’s environment, the company is doing well so far.
“Each of our over 80,000 customers uses Freshdesk in a different way, customised to their needs with integrations & third party apps. We want to enable any customisation that our customers need, making it easy for them to find what they are looking for under one roof, and drive innovation, while simultaneously incentivising developers into building high-quality useful integrations in customer engagement” said Girish, CEO, Freshdesk.
The marketplace launched lately provides a definite ecosystem for its customers, developers & partners to enable flow of communication and information between various third party apps. It’s 80,000 customers will have this facility. The marketplace has more than 100+ apps.
An app to install which will help in discovering Freshdesk helpdesk quite conveniently. Customers will also monetise from this app through integration & extensions, 80% share of revenue to the developer on posting, reaching audience of more than 100,000 global customers.

Freshdesk has portfolio of more than 100 apps. In 2012 they secured $5 Mn in Series B round of funding from Tiger Global and in Series E round of funding they raised $50 Mn from Tiger Global, Google Cap, Accel Paryners. It is a support system through organisations to its customers through email, phone, websites, forums & social media.
